About Us

Hi there, my name is Tim, and I love coffee.

And that’s what Dodeca’s really about. We love a good cup – whether its vietnamese coconut coffee, our local kopitiam’s kopi peng, or a latte from a hipster cafe, we love it all and we want to share that love with with you.

My coffee journey is a simple one. I was introduced to instant coffee as a child and always liked how it made me feel a bit like a grown-up, and how it smelled (not so much how it tasted). A little later on, I started enjoying the sweetneess of Kopi-Peng from my school’s cateen in Junior College. Only in Uni, when a close friend of mine returned from Queensland with a banged up Gaggia Classic, did I start exploring espresso, and boy have I found joy in that. Dodeca was born out of that joy of experiencing good tasty coffee. I’ve always been someone who’s enjoyed creating things, and Dodeca is the hobby-manifestation of my love for coffee mixed with my energy (from coffee probably).

While the hobby is born out of how much I love coffee, I hope to do more with this platform in the coming years. Dodeca has left it’s space at Mind what Matters, but I still run workshops there on Sundays.
